You're right of course I should have added that I've searched everywhere for the family's name with no luck, but was taking so long remembering any French at all I forgot ! All I have is the original Carte Gris and the name of the Mairie I was living in at the time which was Segny.
However the registration number is 971 QD 01 so would it be possible to trace them through the central Registration Bureau in Ain - or Paris perhaps ?
